Head coach Kevin Stefanski is making sure that he's getting as many reps as he possibly can for his team in competitive settings.

The previous three days of training camp have featured a heavy mix of team drills, trying to gauge the competitiveness of the 90 players on the Browns roster.

Stefanski added a new drill into the fold on Day 4, pitting the offensive line and defensive line against one another while still keeping the 11-on-11, 7-on-7 and red zone periods in the practice plan. The one-on-ones started on Friday due to being able to wear shells, but on Monday, the pads will come on and the physicality will begin to ramp up in preparation for the season.

"(I know) you can't be in pads three days in a row," Stefanski said. "We'll be smart about it, but it's an important next step."

Here are the top observations from the fourth day of training camp:

OL vs. DL one-on-one drill

The offensive line and defensive line got their chance to get after one another, going one-on-one.

DE Adin Huntington made an impression, getting past his man to the "quarterback," while DE Sam Kamara and DE Alex Wright were able to persevere during their trench battles and win.

G Teven Jenkins and C Luke Wyplerstood out offensively, winning their reps and being able to stand tall through the sustained pressure from the defensive line.

Quarterback Work

As training camp has gone on, the emphasis on testing the quarterbacks has been clear as team drills have become the main chunk of practice. On Day 4, the quarterbacks, especially QB Shedeur Sanders, flourished.

During 7-on-7, QB Dillon Gabriel fired a ball through a tight window to WR DeAndre Carter. During 11-on-11, he worked on his maneuverability in the pocket often. With the pocket collapsing on him, he stepped up and found RB Ahmani Marshall for a short gain. The next play, he stepped up again and found WR Gage Larvadain on a play that wound up inside the 10-yard line.

QB Joe Flacco's first play of red zone work was a short five-yard gain to WR Jamari Thrash, getting the offense closer to the end zone. He followed that up with a pass to WR Jerry Jeudy on the sideline, getting within three yards of a touchdown.

Sanders found his groove, getting his first touchdown of training camp on a play where he held tight in the pocket and lofted a ball inside the five for WR Luke Floriea, who caught the pass and proceeded to score. During the red zone period, he homed in, throwing two touchdowns. His first was to WR Diontae Johnson in the back of the end zone, nearly sandwiched between two defenders. His second came across the middle to WR Cade McDonald, giving Sanders three scores on the day.

QB Kenny Pickettshowcased his dual-threat ability on Day 4, having a good mix of passes and scrambles during team drills. On his second play of 11-on-11, he scrambled to the left for the first down after the pocket broke down. On his final play of the session, he had a quick pass to TE Harold Fannin Jr., who got into the red zone following the catch. During the red zone at the end of practice, he had a pass to McDonald who got tripped up at the four-yard line, as well as a read option in which he went left and picked up yardage. His arm strength showed as well, sending a pass into the end zone to TE Brenden Bates He threw another touchdown on the final play of practice to the back right pylon through traffic to TE Blake Whiteheart, who spiked the ball as the air horn blew to end the day.
