The Browns were in shells for the first time this week, and the offense came to play on Day 7 of training camp.
During 11-on-11 periods, the offense stacked positive plays. On goal-to-goal situations in 7-on-7 periods, the offense found the end zone multiple times. After working on gap schemes on Tuesday, the run game exploded for an impressive performance on Wednesday.
With the offense finding its groove, here are three observations from Day 7 of training camp.
Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders make key completions in team periods
The quarterbacks continued to rotate reps with the first team on Wednesday. QB Deshaun Watson took the first team reps, while QB Shedeur Sanders worked with the second team.
Watson found his rhythm on Day 7, completing multiple touchdowns passes in 7-on-7 play while working the ball across the middle of the field effectively during 11-on-11. Watson fired a dart to WR Denzel Boston in the back left corner of the end zone for his second touchdown, placing the ball out of reach of both defender. The timing between Watson and WR Jerry Jeudy was on point during both 7-on-7 and 11-on-11, with two connecting on a short yardage touchdown and a pitch and catch over the middle of the field.
During the final 11-on-11 session, Sanders lofted the ball to WR Gage Larvadain for a first down. Sanders connected with WR Luke Floriea across the middle of the field for a solid gain during another 11-on-11 period. While working on plays from inside the five-yard line in 7-on-7, Sanders threw a touchdown pass to RB Quinshon Judkins.

Luke Floriea and Denzel Boston post big days
Floriea was everywhere on the field on Wednesday. One of his first receptions came from Watson in the back of the end zone for a touchdown during 7-on-7 work from inside the five-yard line. He followed that catch up with a leaping touchdown grab on a pass from QB Dillon Gabriel for his second touchdown in the initial 7-on-7 period. Floriea caught his third touchdown of practice during a later 7-on-7 period on a pass from Watson. During 11-on-11, Floriea made multiple catches over the middle of the field. Floriea also turned a short pass from Sanders on the right sideline into a big gain.
Boston continued his strong training camp performance on Day 7. The 6-foot-4 wide receiver caught the first of his two touchdowns of the day on a throw from Watson during 7-on-7 from inside the five-yard line. In 11-on-11 work, Boston caught a pass across the middle of the field from Watson for a double-digit yard gain. Boston also found success on the ground, turning the corner for a big gain on an end around.
Run game finds it's rhythm on Day 7
After implementing run gap schemes on Tuesday, the Browns found success on the ground on Wednesday. On the second play of an early 11-on-11 period, Judkins hit the edge on the right side for a nice gain. Judkins continued his strong practice performance by hitting the hole up the middle with speed, bouncing off a would-be tackler for another solid gain. Judkins also burst up the right sideline after finding the edge for another huge run.
RB Raheim Sanders piled on to the run game's big day, speeding up the left side courtesy of a block from T Spencer Fano during an 11-on-11 period. The offense came up to Fano after the play to congratulate and hype up the rookie following his big block. Raheim Sanders continued his strong day of camp by finding another hole for a big run during 11-on-11 work with the second team offense. RB Ahmani Marshall found a lane during 11-on-11 on a run up the middle for a big gain, adding to the run game's effectiveness.
The Browns also found success working on end arounds during 11-on-11 on Wednesday. WR Malachi Corley took an end around from Gabriel, finding the edge for a solid gain. A few plays later, WR KC Concepcion got in on the action, exploding for another big gain on an end around.
Watson and Shedeur Sanders both were active in the run game during 11-on-11 on Wednesday, too. On a designed quarterback run, Watson found room between tacklers on the edge while Sanders also had success, finding space up the middle for a solid gain.
