The Browns took to the practice field for the final time before their third preseason game on Thursday against the Patriots. With that, head coach Todd Monken still treated Tuesday as a normal practice session. 

"Today will just be a regular practice for our guys," Monken said before practice. "We're not really preparing for Thursday night, we'll get to that tomorrow. Not that we're not repping concepts we expect to run in the game, and we are, but it's really getting our guys that are ones, who we know are going to be on the roster getting the work."

On offense, the Browns' rushing attack consistently found lanes for big runs while WR Jerry Jeudy and WR Denzel Boston each recorded multiple receptions. The secondary also continued to stand out, forcing multiple turnovers on defense. 

Here are the main observations from Day 19 of training camp.

Deshaun Watson finds different receivers in 7-on-7 

QB Deshaun Watson completed passes to multiple different receivers during 7-on-7 periods. 

Watson found TE Harold Fannin Jr. for a short completion and connected with WR Tylan Wallace on a quick route by the sideline during the first 7-on-7 portion. 

In the next 7-on-7 portion of practice, Watson located Fannin over the middle of the field in space for a solid gain. On the next play, Watson teamed up with WR KC Concepcion for a completion near the left sideline. He also connected with RB Dylan Sampson on a short pass over the middle of the field.

Browns' rushing attack posts big runs 

The Browns had multiple runs for solid gains while heavily focusing on that part of the offense on Day 19. 

During the first portion of practice that was only run plays, RB Quinshon Judkins found a hole up the middle for a decent gain. On the next play, Sampson recorded another run up the middle. Sampson found a lane again on the ensuing play, cutting to his right for another chunk play. 

In an 11-on-11 period, Judkins burst through a hole on the left side paved by G Zion Johnson and T Dawand Jones for another big pickup on the ground. 

RB Davon Booth hit the lane and carried the ball up the middle for a solid gain to close out the first 11-on-11 period.

Denzel Boston and Jerry Jeudy tally multiple receptions

Both Boston and Jeudy made multiple receptions during the 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 periods of practice. 

Watson completed a pass to Boston near the right sideline during the first 7-on-7 period. On a third-and-6 situation during another 7-on-7 portion, Watson found Boston again for the first down near the right sideline. In the final 11-on-11 period, Boston caught another pass from Watson for a solid gain. 

Boston has taken reps against CB Denzel Ward throughout a lot of training camp — including on Tuesday — which is preparing the rookie wide receiver ahead of the regular season. 

"We haven't played teams yet that have played their top corners," Monken said before practice. "So, there is a difference. There are millionaires and there are thousandaires, right? And the guys out there that are really good, they're multi-multimillionaires, and they're paid to cover. That's how you develop: going up against the best and yet having other opportunities to build your confidence. There's a combination of that. You want to have some success to help build your confidence, but then you've got to see where you're at, with any position."

During the first 7-on-7 period Jeudy caught two consecutive passes. The first was near the right sideline and the second came over the middle of the field. In the next 7-on-7 portion, Watson completed his third pass to Jeudy on a short completion near the middle of the field. 

Jeudy caught a throw from Watson during an 11-on-11 period deep over the middle of the field for his longest reception of practice.

Secondary forces multiple turnovers 

The Browns' secondary forced a fumble and an interception while coming up with other big plays.

During the first 11-on-11 period, CB D'Angelo Ross forced a fumble on a run play to RB Raheim Sanders. The fumble was recovered by S Christopher Edmonds for the defense's first turnover. 

On the second turnover, CB Nate Evans made an acrobatic catch after a deep pass from QB Shedeur Sanders bounced off the hands of WR Malachi Corley over the middle of the field. 

CB Myles Harden recorded a pass breakup on a throw from Watson intended for WR Gage Larvadain deep down the left sideline during an 11-on-11 period. In the final portion of 11-on-11, CB Tyson Campbell played tight coverage on a deep throw to Boston in the end zone to prevent a touchdown.
