The Browns were indoors for the ninth day of training camp, the first practice after the eight- day install period that head coach Todd Monken implemented. With the install period over, Monken noted that the offense has practiced most of their concepts and will begin to review the ones that have already been implemented.

"The only thing that'll go in will be situational football, a few variations of what we do, but we get a chance to repeat concepts we've been working on earlier," Monken said before Friday's practice. "We just have to continue on both sides of the ball to do the simple things better. It's really that simple."

Indoors and only in helmets, the Browns worked on pushing the ball down the field, and the secondary had another strong practice.

Quarterbacks and left tackles continue to rotate reps

QB Deshaun Watson took first team reps in both 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 periods on Friday while QB Shedeur Sanders handled second team reps in 11-on-11. In 7-on-7, Sanders and QB Dillon Gabriel both took second team reps.

Watson connected with WR KC Concepcion on consecutive plays during the first 7-on-7 period. Working with the second team in a 7-on-7 period, Sanders found WR Tylan Wallace over the middle of the field for a completion. Gabriel found WR Luke Floriea across the middle of the field while rotating in with the second team during the same 7-on-7 period.

The Browns also continued to rotate T Dawand Jones and T Spencer Fano at left tackle with the first team. On Friday, Jones took reps with the first team while Fano worked with the second team. Both Jones and Fano, along with the rest of the offensive line, kept the pass rush out of the pocket for most of practice.

Quarterbacks showcase deep ball

The Browns' quarterbacks pushed the ball down the field through the air multiple times during practice on Friday.

During the first 11-on-11 period, Sanders fired a deep ball to WR Gage Larvadain, who went up to make a contested catch for a big gain.

Watson found WR Isaiah Bond deep down the sidelines on a throw during an 11-on-11 period. In the next 7-on-7 period, Watson connected with WR Jerry Jeudy for a long touchdown through the air.

In the final 11-on-11 two-minute drill of practice, with the Browns in prevent defense by the goal line, Watson scrambled to his left and fired a touchdown pass to Bond in the back of the end zone.

Secondary shines again on Day 9

The Browns' secondary put on a show on the ninth day of training camp, coming away with three interceptions.

S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren intercepted Sanders on a pass intended for TE Jack Stoll over the middle of the field for the defense's first interception of practice during an 11-on-11 period.

The secondary's second interception came from S Donovan McMillon, who picked off a pass deep down the right sideline from Gabriel intended for WR Kole Wilson during 11-on-11. McMillon came across the field to help S Tyron Herring who was in coverage on the play.

On the final interception of practice, CB Denzel Ward dove to pick off Watson on a pass intended for Bond during 11-on-11. With three interceptions, the secondary has forced multiple picks on two consecutive days after forcing two during Thursday's practice.

The secondary also defended a couple of long pass attempts well, including balls intended for both WR Malachi Corley and WR Denzel Boston.
