The Browns were back on the field under cloudy skies on Saturday for the second straight day of open practice, closing out the first week of training camp.

On Day 4, the Browns practiced more single-field 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 sessions, providing a good look at both quarterbacks.

To wrap up the first week of camp in style, the defense showed off multiple team celebrations after big plays and Browns fans also got a sneak peek into how the red zone offense will look this season for the first time.

Quarterback battle continues on Day 4

QB Shedeur Sanders took first team reps on Saturday, continuing the rotation between him and QB Deshaun Watson.

"I just take it a day at a time," Sanders said before practice. "I focus on things I've got to get better at, focus on the things I've got to be more crisp at and understand the flaws that I have and keep improving that."

Sanders found WR Denzel Boston on a deep pass during 11-on-11 work. Boston leaped over CB Tre Avery to make the impressive catch, highlighting the rookie's jump ball ability with his 6-foot-4 frame. Along with the big throw to Boston, Sanders connected for three touchdowns during 7-on-7 work.

Watson took reps with the second team and continued the pattern of designed quarterback runs, including one from inside the 10-yard line. Through the air, Watson teamed up with WR Cedric Tillman for a touchdown during a 7-on-7 period and added another to TE Jack Stoll in the flat in 11-on-11 work.

"I feel really good," Watson said before practice. "I feel healthy. I've just got to continue to build that football shape. I think that's the biggest thing that I'm working on through this process each day, just trying to build that endurance, build that football shape, because it's been a while since I've really been on the field with 11-on-11."

Browns focus on short yardage situations

The Browns practiced goal-to-go situations on Saturday, showcasing the short yardage offense and defense.

Sanders found each of his wide receivers during 7-on-7 work, throwing touchdowns to WR Isaiah Bond, WR KC Concepcion and WR Jerry Jeudy during a single session.

During one point of 11-on-11 work around the five-yard line, the defensive line was blowing up almost every play before the offense could get started. DT Mason Graham and DE Jared Verse continued to wreak havoc by making developing plays difficult on the first team offense. DE Alex Wright also looked explosive, breaching the backfield on multiple occasions.

QB Dillon Gabriel added two touchdowns through the air with the third team during the short yardage work, connecting with WR Malachi Corley and WR Kole Wilson.

Safeties put up big numbers

The Browns' safety room put on a clinic during Saturday's practice, highlighting the depth at the position.

S Ronnie Hickman and S Grant Delpit have taken most of the safety snaps with the first team defense throughout training camp so far, with second round pick S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren and S Christopher Edmonds working with the second team.

McNeil-Warren jumpstarted the position group's big day by deflecting the football from Stoll's hands during the first 11-on-11 period. The ball landed in the hands of Edmonds on a tip-drill for the defense's first interception of the afternoon and the entire defense ran to the corner of the end zone to celebrate.

During short yardage drills, S Donovan McMillon intercepted Watson on a pass also intended for Stoll in the end zone. Delpit broke up a pass in the corner of the end zone on a throw by Watson for another big play.

Edmonds brought practice full circle by closing out the day with his second interception on a pass from Watson intended for WR Tylan Wallace during the team's two-minute drill.
