From an injury standpoint, the Browns are entering Sunday's game against Pittsburgh they way they figured at the start of the practice week.
Three players -- WR Rashard Higgins (knee), LB Joe Schobert (hamstring) and DB E.J. Gaines -- missed all three practices and were ruled out Friday. After missing the first two practices of the week, C JC Tretter (ankle) and DB Damarious Randall (groin, ankle) were back on the field in a limited capacity and are considered questionable against the Steelers.
Browns coach Hue Jackson expects both of the starters to be available.
Randall has played through a number of injuries this season while providing an invaluable presence in Cleveland's secondary. After lining up as a safety for the first six games, Randall was used mostly as a cornerback at Tampa Bay.
"It matters to him. Football matters to him. His teammates matter to him. Winning matters to him," Jackson said. "He knows that we are a better football team when he is out there playing. He does everything all week to get himself into a positon to play. He will go play and play well."
Tretter has been dealing with a high ankle sprain since the first quarter of Cleveland's Week 6 loss to the Chargers. He missed the same amount of practice last week before playing every snap against the Buccaneers.
