Rookie Tackle adapts the sport of football for kids in Northeast Ohio
Rookie Tackle is a modified game to introduce tackle football to youth players. A 7-on-7 format and smaller field allows for higher coach-to-player ratio leading to advanced player skill development. The Cleveland Muny Football League has adopted Rookie Tackle and close to 200 athletes competed in the 14 team league in 2022.
Browns host Build The Bridge Showcase at FirstEnergy Stadium
Build The Bridge aims to "Unify Communities Through Sport" by bringing together student-athletes from various racial, socio-economic, and religious backgrounds to allow young people to recognize that they have a multitude of commonalities. Browns hosted the Build The Bridge Showcase at FirstEnergy Stadium on June 9, 2022.
Cleveland Muny Rookie Tackle
The Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Muny Football partnered to launch a new Rookie Tackle program. Rookie Tackle is a modified game to introduce to tackle football to youth players. Rookie Tackle serves as a bridge game between flag football and full-field tackle. It is also a part of USA Football's Football Development Model.
Under the Bright Lights
The new Cleveland Browns Youth Football Camp – "Under the Bright Lights", in association with University Hospitals, is designed to introduce young players to the basics of offensive and defensive football. This non-contact instructional camp will concentrate on the fundamentals of each position and the skills that go along with the game. Participants will get the opportunity to be coached by local high school coaches, participate in challenges and experience once-in-a-lifetime activities "Under the Bright Lights" at FirstEnergy Stadium
Browns Youth Football Camp helps promote a more diverse future for football
The Cleveland Browns Youth Football Camp Series, in association with University Hospitals, hosted more than 250 participants at FirstEnergy Stadium over the course of 3 days. Boys and girls between the ages of 7-13 participated in football skill building drills and flag football games.
Browns break ground on 11th field project at Archbishop Hoban High School
The Cleveland Browns and Archbishop Hoban celebrated the implementation of two high-quality synthetic turf fields at Wentz Financial Family Fields, the team's 11th field installment in past five years. Since May of 2016, the Haslam and Johnson families and Browns Give Back have been dedicated to providing Ohio communities with new field surfaces, focused on enhanced educational opportunities by promoting student engagement through youth and high school football, additional sports and other activities.

Northeast Ohio Youth Football Summit Day 1
High School and Youth Football Connection. Coach Mike Elder, Avon High School, will lead a discussion on how to build your program and connect to youth football coaches in your area. The Cleveland Browns are hosting the 3rd Annual Northeast Ohio Youth Football Summit in a new format - virtually. The youth football coaches' summit will feature sessions led by local high school coaches, Cleveland Browns coaches, players, and alumni. During the summit, coaches will learn proper tackling techniques, the fundamentals of coaching, key communication skills, practice preparation, and other essential skills for youth football player, coach and program development.
Browns to host High School Showcase in March
All athletes, kindergarten through twelfth grade, who want to compete like the pros, join us at the NEW Cleveland Browns Showcase Weekend in association with Xenith March 6th – 8th, 2020 at the Cleveland Browns Training Facility.
The weekend events will feature combine-style testing as well as position specific drills, including: passing, route running, linemen work, agility drills, kicking and punting, plus so much more. The Adapted Football League held it's 9th annual All-Star game at FirstEnergy Stadium. Joel Bitonio, Austin Corbett and others participated in the All-Star game as lead blockers and quarterbacks for the adapted football athletes.
Keeping quarterbacks' eyes downfield: PlayFootball Tip of the Week
Head Coach Rick Adams of Independence High School teaches a few drills that will help a quarterback learn to keep their eyes downfield looking for receivers. Then coach teaches how to read a linebacker's hips to determine the correct route to run.
Browns invite kids to training camp to do drills with players
In association with Hard Knocks, players spent time before training camp practice to do drills with kids on the practice fields. Tyrod Taylor led the kids through warm up drills followed by players leading football specific drills and encouraging them to have fun.
Adapted Football: Friday Night Lights
Adapted Football League athletes got the opportunity to play under the lights at the Lou Groza Field. The event also allowed families and volunteers to celebrate the athletes' hard work and showcase their confidence, teamwork and football skills they developed throughout the season.
Toledo community comes together as Browns and NFL provide a new turf field
The Cleveland Browns and National Football League worked together to donate $250,000 towards a new turf field. The community gathered around the football field at Roy C. Start High School in Toledo for a groundbreaking ceremony.
Jarvis Landry surprises Warren G. Harding with new Xenith Helmets
Jarvis Landry took a trip to Warren G. Harding high school to surprise the football team with band new Xenith Helmets. The Helmets Program is able to donate $66k worth of helmets to Ohio Schools throughout the year in collaboration with the Cleveland Browns, Ohio Lottery, University Hospitals and Xenith.

Cleveland Brown wide receiver Jarvis Landry attended and spoke at the groundbreaking of Lorain High School's George Daniel Field. As part of Browns Give Back, Dee and Jimmy Haslam have extended their pledge to donate a sixth field to a local high school.
Browns host 2018 High School Showcase
As part of the team's commitment to youth and high school football through Browns Give Back, the Cleveland Browns 2018 High School Showcase was hosted at the team's field house on Saturday, when local freshmen, sophomores and juniors had the opportunity to compete in front of talent evaluators from local colleges and universities.
HSGOTW: Canton Central Catholic advances to state
The 14th and final week of Cleveland Browns High School Game of the Week this season went back to Strongsville as the Canton Central Catholic Crusaders defeated the Milan Edison Chargers 24-14. The Crusaders now advance for a shot at the Division V State Championship.
HSGOTW: NDCL defeats Lake Catholic
The eighth edition of the Cleveland Browns High School Game of the Week took place on the campus of Notre Dame - Cathedral Latin as the Lions took on the Lake Catholic Cougars. Both teams ran the ball efficiently, but in the end the Lions managed to secure a 28-14 victory at home.
